For the Love of Line Dancing....

Jessi Suttenfield and Chris Duke exchanged wedding vows on January 9 at First Presbyterian Church www.fpcrichmond.org with a reception at Westwood Club www.westwoodclub.net. Jessi showed off her love and talent for line dancing. She was amazing dancing along to the Electric Slide, the Cupid Shuffle and several other line dancing songs. Music was played by Manny Green www.mannygreen.com. There was also some break dancing thrown into the mix by one of Jessi's bridesmaids and a guest.

The Day our World Turned White

December 19, 2009 is a an evening to be remembered. Not only since Dana Bonelli and Chris Johnson exchanged wedding vows at St. Giles Presbyterian Church http://www.stgiles.org/ but also because we were under a major winter storm warning. However, the snow did not dampen the couples evening but added to it making the nuptials more festive than ever.

Following an intimate ceremony, the couple and their guests then made their expedition downtown to the elegant Lemaire Restaurant http://www.lemairerestaurant.com/ at the Jefferson Hotel. Where they were invited to warm up with fresh cranberry laden cocktails before going into the "Library" for dinner.

Elegance and Ease

My associate photographer, Caron Sterling and I were fortunate to be part of two splendid weddings on November 7, 2009.

Caroline and Ned were married in the evening at First Baptist Church http://www.fbcrichmond.org/ with the reception following at Willow Oaks Country Club http://www.willowoakscc.org/. It was an evening that combined Caroline's natural elegance with Ned's casual ease. We really felt our photographs captured so many special moments. The reception was a grand affair with family and friends, and plenty of dancing!

All Smiles

Our second wedding on November 7, 2009.

Meghan Baillargeon married Travis Ely at St. Bridget's Catholic Church http://www.saintbridgetchurch.org/ with the reception held at Richmond Country Club http://www.richmondcountryclubinc.com/

I have known Meghan for years - we met long before either of us were in the wedding industry and I have gotten a chance to know Travis better as he occasionally provides assistant photography services for me.

I don't think I have ever seen both the bride and groom so obviously happy. Their smiles were so infectious.

It was a beautiful day filled with lots of personal touches thanks to the elegance and flair of Jennifer McBride from Occasions www.occasionsevents.com . Details ran the gamut from the traditional wedding cake topper that once sat on a grandparents wedding cake, to the modern reference to the couples favorite show Lost in the cookie favors for guests. Also there was a rather impressive Darth Vader grooms cake, another favorite of the couple, supplied by Cakes by Graham http://www.cakesbygraham.homestead.com/. Music was supplied by JB Bostic with Choice Entertainment http://www.choiceentertainment.com/ and the magnificent floral arrangements by the Jefferson Hotel http://www.jeffersonhotel.com/. This happy day filled with smiles and laughter was captured by Stephanie Strimple from United Wedding Productions www.unitedwedding.com.
